You need to be Data Dictionary compliant by the end of the year. MLSs owned and operated by REALTOR® associations are mandated by NAR Policy to adopt, implement, and certify the RESO Data Dictionary by Jan. 1, 2016. So, we collaborated with RESO on a webinar series to help get you and your team ready.
RESO is already processing certification applications and you need to start now to meet the January deadline. Register now before it’s too late.
Accelerating Home Energy Info:5 Steps for Every CMLS Member
We’ve all heard the headlines – consumers are more interested than ever in homes that provide better quality, comfort and safety, while reducing monthly energy bills. And we’ve heard that homes built or improved to new standards often sell for 3-7% or more.
As consumer demand for these homes has been growing post-recession, the tools and tricks available for homes, real estate agents and MLSs have been improving too. Since the early 2000’s the MLS industry has led a grass-roots movement to make Green MLS fields available to real estate agents and ultimately consumers. Even without a formal campaign to organize efforts, today 79 out of 100 MLSs in the biggest U.S. metro areas currently offer Green MLS fields, as well as 52% of Council of MLS members (with 50 members still to count).
In order to serve this emerging portion of the housing inventory, to better serve the consumer, and to pursue better access to data while reducing broker liability, the Council of MLS signed on as a partner to the U.S. Department of Energy Home Energy Info Accelerator in May.
We’re now embarking on a three-year plan to set the agenda for the role and data needs of the MLS, while promoting best practices. Click here and view our webinar to learn about five simple steps each individual CMLS member can take in parallel as Council of MLS advances the overall industry agenda in this exciting segment of the market.
